The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme is a Government of India effort to promote apprenticeships. The government provides cash compensation to organisations that promote and implement NAPS.
Typically, in a NAPS programme, an employer hires a trainee as an apprentice and trains them for 6-36 months, during which time the trainee acquires the skills required to perform the function in the organisation. The government reimburses the employer 7500/- for each apprentice in their organisation. Throughout the apprenticeship, the trainee receives a minimal salary.
The Government of India created the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme to give work possibilities to the majority of the population and promote economic growth in the country. The NATS scheme is primarily a training programme aimed at encouraging skill development and placements for applicants who fulfil specific qualifying requirements (which are detailed on the service page above). They can be put in central, state, or private organisations that provide outstanding training facilities.
The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is a one-year programme established by the Government of India to provide youth (with technical knowledge and eligibility for the programme) with the skills necessary for their jobs.
